Clinical Characteristics

The baby's head is noticeably smaller than average. Children may take longer to learn to talk, walk, or understand things. They may need extra help in school and with daily tasks. Aside from the small head, the rest of the body usually grows normally.

Most children do not have seizures or serious movement issues. Brain scans may show a smaller brain, but the structure is often mostly normal.
