Bi-allelic variants in ERI1 with the presence of at least one missense variant lead to a spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia associated with ribosomopathy. As of date, only 5 individuals with bi-allelic variants in ERI1 including one missense variant been reported in the literature, suggesting that this genetic disorder is extremely rare.
