For PTLS, a complete systems review is recommended, including assessment of growth and cognitive and behavioral development, as well as vision, hearing, and sleep apnea evaluation. Hearing and vision screening should be done annually. Dental exams are also recommended. At the time of diagnosis, a heart (cardiac) evaluation should be performed to assess possible heart problems. Clinical evaluations for increased joint movement curved spine, muscle strength, walking gait, and flat feet are recommended. It is important to perform a clinical screening for developmental delay, atypical behavior, inattention, hyperactivity, and autism spectrum disorder, with ongoing assessments. Referrals for therapies including speech/language, physical, occupational, and sensory integrations may be indicated. Follow recommended guidelines: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK447920/
