Current work is focused on identifying downstream molecular substrates of SLC1A1/EAAT3 in animal models using behavioral, neuroimaging, and neural recording techniques, with the aim to reveal the role of EAAT3 in neuronal function and the downstream effects of SLC1A1loss.
Collaborations are sought to conduct clinical or molecular studies in the human pediatric and adult population to parallel animal work.
