Most patients undergo limb surgery to correct syndactyly or polydactyly, or to close the cleft. Surprisingly, no tooth agenesis was described so far in patients with homozygous variations associated with SHFM, however we recommend checking this out in each new patient. Genetic counselling is also recommended.
