Children with TCF7L2-related neurodevelopmental disorder may develop more slowly than expected, especially in speech, learning, motor function, and attention. Some children may have mild learning difficulties or need extra support at school, but most ultimately achieve typical learning abilities. Differences in social interaction and ADHD may also be present.
Some individuals have vision problems, including short-sightedness (needing glasses to see clearly at a distance). Mild physical differences may be noticed in some children, but these are variable and not always present.
Not all children have the same features, and the type and severity of symptoms can differ widely from one person to another.
